How affiliate links work
We designed clearer options to be funded through affiliate links with Australian retailers. When you click through to a retailer from our site and make a purchase, we may eventually earn a small commission - at no extra cost to you. The price you see is always the same price you'd pay going directly to that retailer. No affiliate partnerships are active yet.
Our recommendations
How affiliates affect our recommendations
Short answer: they don't.
- Our rankings are based on how well products match your stated needs, not on commission rates or retailer relationships
- Price comparisons are designed to include every retailer, regardless of any commission relationship
- Products are evaluated on their specs, regulator-registered data, and value - not on whether we earn commission when you buy
- Brands don't see our recommendations before you do - and no affiliate partnership gets advance notice of what we'll say
Your rights
What this means for you
- The prices you see are the same prices you'd pay going directly to the retailer
- You're under no obligation to buy through our links
- You're always free to compare prices against any retailer, affiliate or not
- If you'd prefer not to support us through affiliate links, you're welcome to visit retailers directly - we appreciate the trust either way
Our model
How the revenue will work
Affiliate income is the model that funds our independence - it's how we avoid running advertising, taking sponsored placements, or gating content behind paywalls. It means we can be honest about products even when that honesty is commercially inconvenient, because our long-term business depends on trust - not on any single purchase.
We are explicit about this trade-off because we think you deserve to understand it. Once the links are live, buying through them is what will keep this site independent, up-to-date, and free for everyone. We'll be grateful for that support.
We don't disguise affiliate links as editorial links. Once partnerships are active, every “Visit store” or “Check price” button on this site will be an affiliate link, and this page will say which retailers we work with.
